Hazardous Chemicals

While there is no denying that the chemical water treatment industry has successfully provided a quality service for decades, there is also no denying that the cost to our environment and our bodies has been extensive. It is a documented fact that over 600 chemicals can now be found in the human body which did not exist prior to the year 1900.*

If your company is presently utilizing chemical water treatment, take a few minutes and review the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the chemicals in your facility. A few chemicals will likely include chlorine, tolytriazole, sodium hydroxide, hydrocarbon solvents, etc. These chemicals require personal protective equipment to be handled, and are classified as potentially lethal hazards by OSHA. Not only are you and your employees potentially exposed on a daily basis to these chemicals, but they are also being released into the water which ultimately ends up being processed for drinking.

In a 3000 ton cooling system running at an average of four cycles of concentration, approximately 43 pounds of chlorine are released directly into the water and 3800 pounds are released indirectly into the air as part of the evaporation cycle on an annual basis.** That amount to nearly two tons of chlorine entering our environment by a single, moderately-sized cooling system per year! With Dolphin pulse-power water treatment, that two tons is eliminated to ZERO. Obviously, the best method to reduce pollution is to eliminate it at the source, and that is exactly what the Dolphin pulse-power treatment system accomplishes.
