Very Cold Weather Use

The system schematic shown below, illustrates a water source heat pump system running in a heating mode on a very cold day. Additional system heat, (boiler operation) is providing mechanical tempering of the main water loop. The boiler operation is only required to maintain a minimum loop water temperature
of 60°F.
